I am the current Detective Constables Federation Representative and having been a Police Officer for 22 years now within the Hampshire Constabulary with 15 years on the CID Dept some may say I have a good knowledge of all issues relating to Federation type work, especially involving the CID Dept.

I have spent most of my service within the Southampton area, based at Southampton Central, Portswood, Bitterne and Shirley Police Station's and within this period served time on the Western Drug Squad and Force Crime Unit (now SOCU). I was for a number of years the Drugs Intelligence Officer for Southampton, after which I served several years on the National Crime Squad based at Netley. In between my periods at Southampton I served at Winchester CID for 4 years and within 1 OCU.

I am married with 3 children and keep myself busy in other ways out of the job. I am a current Local Education Authority School Governor and a Level 2 FA coach, managing age groups for the Whitelely Wanderers YFC. I currently manage the forces veterans football team and organise the John Davies Memorial Cup football competition on an annual basis. More recently I have been going through a mid life crisis and started to realsie the need to keep fit by running, having entered the London Marathon in 2009 for the second time and other races for charity.
