John Apter

Hampshire JBB Chairman

John is the Federation Chairman and works from the Federation office full time. He joined Hampshire Constabulary in 1992 and has worked at Lymington, Southampton Central and on the Roads Policing Unit before taking the Chairman's role in June 2010.

Prior to becoming the Chairman John was the Chairman of the Constables Branch Board and the Vice Chairman of the Joint Branch Board.

As the JBB Chairman John negotiates with ACPO on behalf of the members, he liaises with the media. He also continues to represent Officers in matters of misconduct, performance, attendance management and welfare related issues.
