Martin Jacobs
OCU 3 Constables representative - Martin Jacobs
Martin joined Hampshire Constabulary in 1995 and served in the areas of Alton, Petersfield and Whitehill. He became an Advanced Driver and remained on TPT until 2011.
Due to the Federation assisting him in complaints and in particular a fatal PVI, Martin decided to join the Joint Branch Board. He became trained in Misconduct matters and went on to get his Intermediate Misconduct qualification and then Advanced Misconduct. He is also advocate trained by RJW solicitors of London. As part of his natural progression Martin got trained in PIM/ PIP to assist officers who found themselves caught up in fatal incidents and officers needing support and legal advice.
Martin became the Lead Misconduct officer in the summer (what summer) of 2011! He has assisted officers who have been arrested, found themselves on misconduct meetings and hearings.
