Paul is the Federation Joint Branch Board Secretary and works full time from the Federation Office, Winchester.

Paul joined Hampshire Police in 1989 and has worked in a number of predominantly operational roles working at Fratton, Lyndhurst, Winchester, Aldershot, Basingstoke and Whitchurch before becoming the full time Secretary of the Federation in January 2011.

Paul joined the Police Federation as a representative in 1998 and has represented officers whilst on the Constables/Sergeants and Inspectors Branch Board, in areas such as Misconduct, Equal Opportunities, UPP, Pensions, Claims and Health and Safety.

Paul's role as Secretary includes negotiating with ACPO on behalf of members, training and empowering the 39 Police Federation Representatives around the Force to provide the best service to members and ensuring the internal mechanisms of the Police Federation work efficiently in addition to day to day representation of members across a broad spectrum of issues, such as those listed above.

Paul is keen to receive any feedback as to how the Police Federation can maintain and improve it's service to members.
