Members Area / Holiday Cottage
Hampshire Police Federation own a cottage on a holiday complex on the Devon/Cornwall border to provide officers with a welfare need the opportunity to relax in a picturesque setting.
The cottage is at Honicombe Manor which is just north of Plymouth about 3.5 hours travelling time from Hampshire. The site facilities include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, restaurant, bar and seasonal entertainment. The accomodation comprises of 3 bedrooms, separate WC and bathroom with a recently installed power shower. Upstairs is the main living area comprising of a newly furbised kitchen with fridge/freezer, electric hob and oven, dishwasher and microwave. Lounge area has wooden table and chairs and a sofa bed allowing the cottage to accommodate up to 8 people. There is a CD /radio player and 32inch flat screen TV with Freeview, VHS video and DVD player. A small balcony gives picturesque views over rolling countryside.
The cottage has recently been renovated and if you wish to be considered to use the cottage for welfare reasons, then please contact the Federation Office, either by email (Click here) or via phone, 79-3414/3418.
Applications for the Cottage can be received at any time, however a decision will only be made a month before the arrival date.
Every second week the cottage is also available to be hired by officers for their private use. The rates are very competitive and greatly reduced on the prices charged on similar properties on the complex.
The current rates are:
Low Season (Jan,Feb,Mar,Oct,Nov,Dec) - £300 per week
Mid Season (Apr,May,Jun,Sept, and half terms) - £400 per week
High Season ( July,Aug; Easter, Whitsun and Christmas holidays) -£500 per week.
Decisions on private hire of the cottage can only be given with two weeks notice of arrival, to enable priority to be given to welfare cases.
